A walk around Wakerley Wood.

IMG_2323 IMG_2325 Twelve members gathered on a very crisp and bright November morning to investigate Wakerley Woods.
Starting from the car park the group followed the Orange Trail and soon encountered some typical woodland birds.
Goldcrests were surprisingly numerous and Treecreeper and Nuthatch provided good views.
As the party followed the trail other species were added to the list of birds.
Buzzard circled overhead whilst various Corvids made their way backwards and forwards through the woods.
Bullfinch, Great Tit, Blue Tit and Long Tailed Tit, Coal Tit also made an appearance although disappointingly there was no sign of Crossbill, Siskin or Redpoll.
